NORTH KOREA

North Korea is a country rich in mineral resources but fewer than two millions of its citizen is going hungry due to shortage of food, necessities and supply from international help. The reason for this is, its “military first” policy. According to Mr. Vivit Muntarbhorn, a Thai-human rights, UN envoy, the government is controlling its people’s economic activity where women under 49 are not allowed to trade, they are forced to wear skirt instead of trousers and they are forbidden to ride bicycles (Korean’s main mode of transport) and people are sent to labor camps just for failing to report for work or watching films from South Korea. International help was cut off since the middle of 2009 it was a result of International reaction after North Korea tested a nuclear device in May, the second time.
In my opinion, UN should be really be tough on these nations who tests nuclear devices but at the same time consider the innocent people who are always the one affected with these things.
